Saint Paul's Episcopal Church
of Watertown, Wisconsin
Fourth of July again!?
This time the staging area for the parade was on Second St. in front of the church.  So the congregation decided to open the church doors and make the building available to paraders and organizers.  Over 120 people took advantage of the restrooms, and free water, coffee, lemonade, cookies and donuts.

The only entry in the parade representing the period when the church was built.  A Civil War period band.

All with period costumes and instruments.

And then someone parked this modern car in front of the church.

And what would a parade be with out Cheerleaders, Marching Bands and Firetrucks?  (the band is just around the corner)

Our Spring Clean up day

when jeans and sneakers are the appropriate attire!

This looks like hard work to me!

Now here's a crew working so hard they can't take time to smile for the camera!

Fr. Mark trying to keep up with the kids. Now this is hard work!!!!!

The lunch crew prepares.

And wouldn't you know, we eat again! There is always something special about sharing a meal together.

Advent II,

A wonderful service that was planned, organized, and led by the youth of St. Paul's. Check the kids section for more details, but they did a great job. Here's a taste.

A Jesse Tree to show the biblical preparation for the Messiah.

Rose and Martha were the readers for the Jesse Tree lesson.

Here are most of the kids who made this service a wonderful celebration!

Advent I

A new addition to the worship space! A stained glass window dedicated to healing and given by Drs. Ruth and Eugene Schuh. The dedication service was held December 2nd 2007.

The dedication was followed later in the afternoon with a concert by the Ancora Quartet also funded by the Schuh endowment.

The Blessing of the animals in commemoration of St. Francis of Assisi.

Cats!!

Dogs!!

Young and Old!

Dogs and Cats and those who care for them were blessed as God's beloved creatures. The service was short but acknowledged our responsibility to care for and love all God's creation. And we enjoyed the blessing of another beautiful day in which we could hold the service on the front lawn of the church.
